At Fraser Valley Bonsai we are passionate about bonsai and want to make it easier to practice in our local communities. Our mission is to make bonsai events available to everyone, regardless of their level of experience. As we add new events and teachers you will soon see an expanding list where you can practice your craft. Here you can get the support you need so the you can benefit from the beauty, community and challenge of bonsai.

Make a Bonsai
Workshops
At these fun and casual Introductory Workshops we will teach you about bonsai and provide the tools and supplies so you can create your very own! An expert will demonstrate and then you follow along to shape a bonsai to take home. These stand-alone workshops will offered with different species as the seasons change so there is always something new to try.
Accelerator Classes
At these classes we will practice the most useful skills and explain the most important concepts so you can develop your bonsai better and faster. Start anywhere in the series of three - Spring, Summer and Fall, but take them all for a strong foundation in bonsai. You can bring a tree of your own to work on, purchase one, or practice on trees supplied from our teaching collection.
Inspiration Project Workshops
Challenge yourself in an Inspiration Project Workshop by building a bonsai composition that you have not tried before. It could be a forest, root-over-rock, literati or even raft bonsai! We gather the materials for the right time of year, so you can build an interesting project and come home with something new for your collection.
