At Fraser Valley Bonsai we are passionate about bonsai and want to make it easier to practice in our local communities. Our mission is to make bonsai events available to everyone, regardless of their level of experience. As we add new events and teachers you will soon see an expanding list where you can practice your craft. Introductory
Workshops
At these fun and casual Introductory Workshops we will teach you about bonsai and provide the tools and supplies so you can create your very own! An expert will demonstrate and then you follow along to shape your first bonsai to take home.
Seasonal
Classes
Bring the bonsai you already own to a Seasonal Class to learn the right technique and apply it to your tree. At these Spring, Summer and Fall classes you will learn new techniques and how to use the changing seasons so your tree stays healthy and becomes an even better bonsai.
Inspiration Projects
Challenge yourself in an Inspiration Project Workshop by building a bonsai composition that you have not tried before. It could be a forest, root-over-rock, literati or even raft bonsai! We gather the materials for the right time of year, so you can build an interesting project and come home with something new for your collection.

Sun, Apr 06Room 117 - Clayton Community CentreLearn about bonsai and make your own in this guided activity! Featuring a Juniper (Juniperis procumbens), you will repot into a bonsai training pot and do some light styling of the tree. Bring your gloves and everything else is provided!
